Part of my 13D 12N itinerary in Taiwan. Please refer to my previous post for my Taiwan's accommodation HERE.

PAGE 1.
(I'd Photoshop-ed out the details on the page, so you guys can choose to print & fill it up as your own travel book. )
My first page will be the details of flight, insurance and important numbers to call. Note: Singapore does not have a embassy in Taiwan.

PAGE 2 (Left)
For me, the second page is the most important out of all. As it's the "to do list" after touching down Taiwan. I'd planned everything according to their opening hours (We arrived in Taiwan at around 6am and had to be at the HSR station at 9am).
Things to do @ airport
1) Change money. (Open@ 6am)
Exchange rate at the airport was much higher compare to SG.
Rate at Taiwan airport was 23:1, SG airport was 22.14:1 while we change for 22.8 at City Plaza. Note: Other than the airport it's quite hard to find a money changer.
2) Buy Easy cards and Bus tickets
(We'd some time before the youth card counter is open so we move this forward.)
Easycard (悠遊卡) can be purchase in any convenience stores @ NT100 with many cute design to choose from! Check out the details -> HERE
To get to Taipei, Taoyuan HSR/ Train station or any other part of Taiwan you'll need to take a bus/cab.
Ticket from the airport to Taoyuan HSR station cost NT30 each. Note: The train station are not directly connected to the airport.
Bought our cards and breakfast at Hi-Life.
If only food in SG's convenience stores are as good as those in Taiwan!
3) Apply for Youth card (Open @ 7am) *Directly opposite the mobile booth.
The youth travel card is for youth age 15 to 30. Only require your passport to apply, quick and easy! Check out the details and benefits -> HERE
4) Get sim card (Open @ 8am)
Be prepare for the queue as the process to apply for this may take some time. We were there few minutes before 8am (kiasu) and the queue became quite long after the booth is open. Note: If I'm not wrong, these mobile packages are only available in the airport store.
We got the NT 600 plan from Far Eas Tone since it's the only company with 12 days plan (We're staying for 13days). Overall I'm happy with the service, the coverage was god even in mountain area like CingJing.
The plan include,
- 12 days unlimited data service
- free incoming calls
- NT50 local call (Can only last 5- 10 mins but was enough for us)
Packages by other companies.
From Taoyuan to Cingjing
1) United bus (#705) to get to Taoyuan HSR station. Price: NT 30
2) Prebooked our HSR tickets from Taoyuan to Taichung as it's cheaper (UP to 30% discount) to book earlier! Website: Taiwan High Speed Raill Video of us in the high speed train (244km/hr!) : http://instagram.com/p/e3S1-DmctD/
Our Tickets.
3) After reaching Taichung you'll need to take a couch or cab to Cingjing which will take around two hours! I forgot to call the driver earlier to book, by the time we reach Taichung the two drivers were unavailable and the closest timing for the couch was left with 1pm(we were there at 10am). In the end we paid NT450 per pax (NT 150 more than normal) to the cab driver there to get to our minsu.

Day 1 @ CingJing 清境
The place we're staying for the next two night. I'll suggest you to write the address of your stay in Chinese to show the drivers, most of them do not speak or understand English.
It was my birthday on the day but didn't get to enjoy! Was having fever and nose bleed for at least 3 times, poor boyfriend had to take care of me. That's how we ended our first day in Taiwan. ='(

PAGE 4 (Left)
Day 2 @ CingJing
青青草原 (Evergreen grasslands)
Please show them your youth card when purchasing the ticket! Only NT 80 using youth card, which is even cheaper than student price!
According to boyfriend the caption of this photo should be ,"Being sick
can’t stop me from getting out!"
Our lunch that day which taste... normal.
Just outside grassland, there's a lot of stalls but most of them are selling the same stuffs.
No idea what's the temperature that day but it was very cold for me.
Die die must eat the goat milk ice cream which turn out to be mehh~
小瑞士花園 (Small Swiss Garden)
No youth card special here, but you'll be able to get student price(NT 80) if you show your student pass. Or spend NT 300 at the carton king restaurant for free admission to the Swiss garden.
Carton King.
The area opposite swiss garden.(There's Mos burger in the other area too!)

PAGE 5 (Right)
The bus system is quite complicated as compare to Singapore. Some buses you'll have to tap your card when you board the bus while some only when you alight. But the good thing about it is that it's CHEAP! Only NT 15!
Love this place! The items are in trend but the prices are cheaper as compared to Taipei.
Fengjia
Night Market 逢甲夜市
The shopping area @ FengJIa.
Purchases of the day. Didn't buy much cause I was thinking of going back on the next day but end up we didn't cause we were too tired from our day tour.
After all the night market food, we went to 7-11 for supper! 7-11 is
our favourite food hutting place in Taiwan. During our trip there, they were
having this "One Piece" sticker reward event. For every NT 40 you
spend at 7-11 you'll get a sticker (we managed to collect more than 30
stickers!). At the end of our trip, boyfriend redeemed 3 pens and managed to
get his favourite character (Luffy)!
Will be back for part 2 of my Taiwan Travel book!
